Hello! I'm Manuela, a systems-oriented and service designer. I'm working at FabricPlus (www.fabricplus.no), a unit within AT Arkitektur, focusing on cross-sectorial collaboration to enhance wellbeing and inclusion in communities and cities. We are interested in topics such as Ageing in the Arctic, Being New / Migration in the Arctic, Being Young in the Arctic, and trying to increase the social fabric, diversity, equity and inclusion in places. My background is in design. I have over 12 years of experience bridging academia and practice in Norway, working at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and Designit. I've also worked abroad, such as the Mayo Clinic, one of the US's largest and most innovative collaborative healthcare ecosystems and in social and public sector innovation. Through my PhD research I worked with www.inwithforward.com in Canada and with www.labgob.cl in Chile, helping build learning programs for public and social sector employees to experientially practice innovation and co-design skills and capacities, through project-based learning.
